Gisela Preuler

LecturerThe artist Gisela Preuler was born in 1972 as the youngest of nine children in Randegg (Scheibbs district/Lower Austria). She has already made a name for herself as a portrait artist of many celebrities, mainly Austrian skiers. In stark contrast to this, she creates illusions and visions of everyday impressions in acrylic on canvas. While she was still graduating from fashion school in Krems/Donau, she was twice named Austria's best young fashion designer. She is currently working as a freelance artist and graphic designer, and in addition to her paintings, she also offers a wide variety of other creative works, such as art on textiles, and much more.

For her, expressing her creativity in her job is always very important. At 17, she was discovered and promoted by the Austrian celebrity portraitist Prof. Sepp Gamsjäger. After that, things happened very quickly - her first vernissage - at 19 - at the Volksbank Krems, followed by many other exhibitions in Austria, such as the Galerissimo Gallery in Salzburg, the Vienna University of Music, the KunstArtStudio Gallery in Kitzbühel, the NÖ Landhaus in St. Pölten and internationally, for example in St. Moritz/Switzerland, to name just a few of the many exhibitions she has already had.

Most recently, some of her paintings were on display in Zurich, Switzerland, at a joint exhibition with other artists. She has discovered astrology as a new hobby and has recently started working as an astrologer alongside her art.
