About me

Ludo Hartmann D/F/EN

He is a self-taught illustrator who has been drawing since childhood.
With a master's degree in economics and social sciences, he discovered the techniques of computer-aided drawing during an internship at a start-up in the multimedia industry. From then on, graphics tablets and digital painting became an integral part of his tools, alongside pencils and ink.

Since 2003 he has worked as a freelance illustrator and has created numerous illustrations for books, prevention campaigns, advent calendars, greeting cards, scratch cards, comics and skateboard decks.

In parallel to his work as a graphic illustrator, he regularly exhibits his works, presented in the form of numbered and signed digital prints. These exhibitions are always an opportunity for him to step out of his comfort zone, try out new techniques and surprise visitors. So he began to play with buildings and city landmarks to create surreal urban atmospheres.

For many years, Ludo Hartmann taught illustration in an art gallery and regularly leads drawing classes. The topics of his classes include anatomy, facial expressions, movement, object drawing, backgrounds, perspectives and comics.
